- Tiago Cardoso Mendes OIH (Portuguese pronunciation: [ti'a?u k??'dozu 'm?d??]; born 2 May 1981), known simply as Tiago, is a Portuguese former footballer who played as a midfielder. He played professionally in five of Europe's major leagues: Portugal, England, France, Italy and Spain.
- He notably spent eight seasons with Atlético Madrid, winning five major titles including the 2013–14 La Liga and the 2012 Europa League. A Portugal international on over 60 occasions, Tiago represented the nation in two World Cups and Euro 2004.
