Kirsten "Flipper" Flipkens (Dutch pronunciation: ['k?rst?n 'fl?pk?ns]; born 10 January 1986) is a Belgian tennis player.
Her WTA career-high singles ranking is world No.
13, which she achieved in August 2013.
She had success as a junior, winning the girls' doubles title at the 2002 US Open and the singles titles at the 2003 Wimbledon Championships and the 2003 US Open.
Since then she has won one WTA singles title, one WTA Challenger singles title, 5 WTA doubles titles, 12 ITF singles titles, and two ITF doubles titles.
Her best Grand Slam performance was at the 2013 Wimbledon Championships, where she reached the semifinal.
In the same year, she was crowned Sportswoman of the Year at the Belgian Sport Awards.
