Roger Meyer Temam (born 19 May 1940) is a French applied mathematician working in several areas of applied mathematics including numerical analysis, nonlinear partial differential equations and fluid mechanics.
He graduated from the University of Paris-the Sorbonne in 1967, completing a higher doctorate (?thèse d'Etat?) prepared under the direction of Jacques-Louis Lions.
He published over 400 articles which appeared in major scientific journals, as well as 12 (authored or co-authored) books some of which have been translated in different languages, including English (from French), Russian, and Chinese.
Three of his books are now published in permanent series (5 -7).
