Bernard Lugan (born 10 May 1946) is a French historian and a specialist of African contemporary history. Editor of the online magazine L'Afrique réelle, Lugan is a professor at the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale and at the military school of Saint-Cyr.
Lugan was also an Associate Professor of African history at Jean Moulin University Lyon 3, in France, and an expert witness for the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda.
