Pat Torpey (December 13, 1953 – February 7, 2018) was an American drummer and singer, mostly known as a drummer for various singers and artists in the rock genre such as; John Parr, Belinda Carlisle, Robert Plant, Montrose, Richie Kotzen and The Knack.
Torpey has recorded with Impellitteri and Ted Nugent.
In addition to performing with various artists, he was mainly the drummer for the rock supergroup Mr.
Big, consisting of Eric Martin, Billy Sheehan, Paul Gilbert and Richie Kotzen despite Kotzen left the band.
Torpey became widely known for his drumming style, yet died at age 64 on February 7, 2018 due to complications of the Parkinson's disease, from which he suffered.
