She is the daughter of former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori and Susana Higuchi.
After the divorce of her parents, she served as First Lady from 1994 to 2000, becoming the youngest First Lady in the history of the Americas.
In 2006, she was elected to the Congress of Peru.
