- Dudley McCarthy (24 July 1911 – 3 October 1987) was an Australian military historian and soldier.
- He served in the Second World War as an intelligence officer.
- He later authored of one of the volumes of the official history series Australia in the War of 1939–1945, dealing with the early stages of the New Guinea campaign.
