He is the creator of the visual novel series Higurashi When They Cry and Umineko When They Cry.
He is the lead member of the group 07th Expansion.
His pen name originates from Final Fantasy, "Ryukishi" being the term for "Dragoon" and "07" goroawase for "Lenna".
