Christine Schürrer (born June 30, 1976 in Hanover) is a German citizen who was convicted of murdering two Swedish children, and seriously injuring their mother with 15 blows to the head with a hammer, after attacking them in their home in Arboga, Sweden, on March 17, 2008.
The motive for the murders has been identified as jealousy, since Schürrer had dated the children's stepfather in 2006 while he was on holiday on the Greek island of Crete where she was working at a local hostel. Along with the crimes of Anders Eklund, Schürrer's case became the most noted and most followed criminal case in Sweden in 2008.
