- Sir William George MacKenzie Sutherland (born 12 November 1933) is a retired British police officer.He was educated at Inverness Technical High School and joined the Cheshire Police in 1954.
- He also served with the Surrey Police (1973–1975) and Hertfordshire Police (1975 to 1979.
- He was Chief Constable of Bedfordshire from 1979 to 1983; and of Lothian and Borders Police from 1983 to 1996.
- He was HM Chief Inspector of Constabulary for Scotland from 1996 to 1998.
