About Harry Corner

  • Harry Richard Corner (9 July 1874 in Taunton, Somerset – 7 June 1938 in Radyr, Glamorgan, Wales) was an English cricket player.
  • He was educated at Blundell's School and was a member of Great Britain's gold medal winning cricket team at the 1900 Summer Olympics, the only time to date that cricket has featured in the Olympics.
  • In the only match against France, he scored four runs in Great Britain's first innings, and did not bat in the second.
  • He also took one wicket in the French second innings and a catch in their first.
  • Nothing is known of his cricket career aside from the Olympics.
  • He was a partner in a firm of wool merchants.
