- Lieutenant General Donald Stuart "Don" McIver, (22 January 1936 – 22 August 2016) was a New Zealand military officer who was the Chief of the General Staff (1987–1989) and the director of the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (1991–1999).In the 1981 New Year Honours McIver was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire.
