Willemiena Bouwman, also known as Mien van Trouw, was a social worker and member of the Dutch Resistance who rescued dozens of Jewish children who were at risk of persecution and deportation by Nazi officials during World War II.
She also played a role in the development of the Dutch newspaper, Trouw, as one of its earliest employees.She was declared to be Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem on June 7, 1992 for her rescue of Jewish children during the war.
