  • He is the bench coach for the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB).
  • He is a former manager of the San Diego Padres and former third-base coach of the Arizona Diamondbacks.He was a versatile fielder, who had the ability to play in almost all of the positions in baseball.
  • After making his debut, he played second base, third base, shortstop, and in the outfield.
  • He threw and batted right-handed, stood 5 feet 9 inches (1.75 m) tall and weighed 165 pounds (75 kg) as an active player. He was a consistent .300 hitter in the minor leagues, won a Pacific Coast League MVP award, and played in the majors for three years with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
