He has held the WBC super welterweight title since December 2018.
As of September 2019, Harrison is ranked as the world’s third best active light middleweight by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, and sixth by The Ring magazine and BoxRec.
On February 25, 2017, Harrison lost to Jarrett Hurd in a fight for the IBF junior middleweight world title.
On December 22, 2018, Harrison defeated Jermell Charlo via unanimous decision to become the WBC super welterweight champion of the world. His only previous loss was to Willie Nelson.He holds wins over Jermell Charlo, Sergey Rabchenko, Fernando Guerrero, Bronco McKart, and Grady Brewer, among others.
