Simon Christopher Danczuk (; born 24 October 1966) is a British former Member of Parliament (MP) for Rochdale (2010 to 2017).
Danczuk co-wrote a book about former Rochdale MP Cyril Smith's abuse of children, and campaigned about historical allegations of child sex abuse.
In December 2015, he was suspended from the Labour Party following allegations of sending sexually explicit text messages to a 17-year-old girl.
A critic of the Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, he resigned from the party in May 2017 after being blocked from standing as a Labour candidate.
After losing his seat at the 2017 general election, he ruled out a return to politics.
