About C. Scott Littleton

  • Covington Scott Littleton (1 July 1933 – 25 November 2010 ) was an American anthropologist and academic. Born in Los Angeles, he served in the Army during the Korean War.
  • Littleton obtained his B.A.
  • (1957), M.A.
  • (1962), and Ph.D.
  • (1965) in anthropology from UCLA. At Occidental College from 1962 to 2002, his main research areas were Indo-European mythology and folklore, King Arthur and the Holy Grail, and Japanese culture, with an emphasis on Shinto.
  • In recent years, he conducted research on the occult, and UFOs. Littleton died in Pasadena, California while suffering from pneumonia and complications after undergoing heart surgery.
