Lysle Turner is an adventurer, businessman, international speaker, and activist for Huntington's disease.
He successfully climbed Mt.
Everest on May 19, 2016 in the name of Huntington's disease, planting a flag with the names of 200 people whose lives have been claimed by Huntington's disease, on the summit.
At the time of his summit, at 26 years old, he became the youngest South African to summit Mt.
Everest.
Turner was at base camp on Mt.
Everest when the 2015 earthquake struck where he helped in search and rescue of injured climbers.
He currently lives in Pretoria, South Africa.
