Stephen James Morgan (born 17 January 1981) is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Portsmouth South since the 2017 general election.
In July 2019 he joined the opposition frontbench as Shadow Minister for Local Government (Communities).
He has been a Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to the Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government and served on the Public Accounts Committee (2017-2019).
In the 2019 general election he more than trebled his majority being re-elected as MP.
One of only three Labour MPs to increase their majority, his vote share went up 7.6%, the highest in the country.
