Douglas Geoffrey McGrath (born February 12, 1958) is an American screenwriter, film director, and actor.
He also writes political commentary, such as "The Flapjack File", a column for The New Republic. McGrath was nominated for both an Academy Award and a BAFTA award for his Bullets over Broadway screenplay.
He was twice nominated for a Writers Guild of America award, in 1995 for Bullets over Broadway, and in 1997 for Emma.McGrath is the son of Beatrice and R.
