About Enrique Múgica Herzog
- Enrique Múgica Herzog (San Sebastián, Guipúzcoa, 1932) is a Spanish lawyer and politician. An opponent against Francoist Spain, he spent three years in prison.
- He was one of the founders of the Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE), in Franco's time.
- He managed the establishment of diplomatic relations between Spain and Israel.
- A member of the PSOE, former Justice Minister (1988–1991), former congressman (representing Gipuzkoa 1977–2000) and former Ombudsman (2000–2010).His father was a Basque violinist who was killed during the Civil War and his mother was a Frenchwoman of Polish Jewish origin.
