Enrique Múgica Herzog (San Sebastián, Guipúzcoa, 1932) is a Spanish lawyer and politician.
An opponent against Francoist Spain, he spent three years in prison.
He was one of the founders of the Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE), in Franco's time.
He managed the establishment of diplomatic relations between Spain and Israel.
A member of the PSOE, former Justice Minister (1988–1991), former congressman (representing Gipuzkoa 1977–2000) and former Ombudsman (2000–2010).His father was a Basque violinist who was killed during the Civil War and his mother was a Frenchwoman of Polish Jewish origin.
