Gilles Gilbert (born March 31, 1949 in Saint-Esprit, Quebec) is a retired ice hockey goaltender who was drafted in the third round of the 1969 NHL Amateur Draft from the London Knights.
He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Minnesota North Stars and Detroit Red Wings, but most notably for the Boston Bruins, as their starter in the 1970s when Hall of Fame goalie Gerry Cheevers, who helped the Bruins win the cup in 1970 and 1972, was playing in the WHA for a few years.
Gilbert was a great back up goalie for Cheevers with the Bruins.
