Krasimir Genchev Balakov (Bulgarian: ???????? ???????, pronounced [kr?si'mir 'ba??kof]; born 29 March 1966) is a Bulgarian former footballer turned manager who managed the Bulgarian national team between May-October 2019.
A former attacking midfielder, he was a key member of the Bulgarian national team that finished fourth in the 1994 FIFA World Cup.
After Hristo Stoichkov, he is considered the greatest Bulgarian footballer of his generation.
