Hervé Mariton (born November 5, 1958 in Algiers) is French politician of the Republicans.
Mariton served as a member of the National Assembly of France from 1993 until 1997 and from 2002 until 2017, representing the 3rd constituency of the Drôme department.
From 1995 until 1997 and again from 2002 until 2017, he served on the Committee on Finance, Economic Affairs and Budgetary Control.
During his time in politics, Mariton was widely seen as a critic of President Nicolas Sarkozy.
Within his party, he was part of The Reformers.
Mariton is fluent in French, English, and Russian.
