Simone Inzaghi (Italian pronunciation: [si'mo?ne in'tsa?gi]; born 5 April 1976) is an Italian retired footballer and current manager, who played as a striker.
He has been the manager of Lazio since 2016.
The younger brother of Filippo Inzaghi, Simone played for a host of clubs during his professional career, including Piacenza and Lazio; he remained for more than a decade at the Roman club, winning major honours including the Double, but also spending time on the bench and being sent on loan spells.
He earned 3 caps for Italy, during as many years.
As a manager, Inzaghi is known for employing the 3–5–2 formation, being one of several Italian managers that have led a notable revival of this tactical system.
