- John Anthony Gallagher (born 29 January 1964) is an English former rugby union and rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s.
- He played international rugby union for New Zealand as a fullback, winning the World Cup in 1987.
- In 1990 he moved to rugby league, playing for Leeds, and the London Crusaders as a fullback.
