  • Lawrence Robert Carriere (born January 30, 1952 in Montreal, Quebec) is a former ice hockey defenceman.
  • He is currently assistant general manager of the Montreal Canadiens.
  • He was drafted in the second round, 25th overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft.
  • He played in the National Hockey League with the Sabres, Atlanta Flames, Vancouver Canucks, Los Angeles Kings, and Toronto Maple Leafs. In his NHL career, Carriere appeared in 367 games.
  • He scored 16 goals and added 74 assists. On July 16, 2010, Carriere joined the Montreal Canadiens as assistant general manager and director off player personnel.
  • Carrière became an assistant coach of the Montreal Canadiens on December 17, 2011.
