- Ioan Dumitrache (25 August 1889, Ciora?ti near Râmnicu Sarat – 6 March 1977, Brasov) was a Romanian Major General during World War II.
- He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross of Nazi Germany, awarded to him for capturing Nalchik on November 2, 1942.
- Nalchik was the farthest point of Axis advance in the Caucasus.
