Abraham Isaac Kook (Hebrew: ????????? ??????? ???????? ???? HaRav Avraham Yitzchak HaCohen Kook, also known by the acronym ?????? (HaRaAYaH); 7 September 1865 – 1 September 1935) was an Orthodox rabbi, the first Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of British Mandatory Palestine in the Land of Israel, the founder of Yeshiva Mercaz HaRav (The Central Universal Yeshiva), a Jewish thinker, Posek, Kabbalist, and a renowned Talmid Chacham.
He is considered one of the fathers of religious Zionism.
