Raúl Salinas de Gortari (born August 24, 1946) is a Mexican businessman who spent ten years in prison accused of the murder of his brother-in-law, José Francisco Ruiz Massieu, but was acquitted in 2005.
He is the brother of former President of Mexico Carlos Salinas.
Raúl Salinas de Gortari graduated from the Faculty of Engineering of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, as Civil Engineer.
He has a Master’s Degree in Transportation Planning at the École Nationale Des Ponts Et Chaussees in Paris, and other one in Evaluation of Industrial Development Projects at the Université de Paris.
