About Anatoly Aleksin

  • Anatoly Georgievich Aleksin (Russian: ?????´??? ???´??????? ???´????; original surname Goberman, Russian: ????????; 3 August 1924 in Moscow, Russian SFSR – 1 May 2017 in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg), was a Russian writer and poet. In the late thirties Aleksin's poems were published in a children's newspaper, Pionerskaya Pravda.
  • In 1950 he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Oriental Studies and his first novel Thirty one day (???????? ???? ????) was published.
  • He was a chairman of the Russian Federation Union of Writers from 1970 to 1989 and a member of the editorial board in of the literature journal Yunost.
  • He also wrote the book titled "Secret of the Yellow House".
  • Aleksin lived in Israel from 1993 until 2012.
  • Then he moved to Luxembourg, where he lived until his death.
