Joseph Arthur Ankrah (18 August 1915 – 25 November 1992) was a General of the army of Ghana who served as the 2nd President of Ghana from 1966 to 1969 in the position of Chairman of the National Liberation Council.
Ankrah also served as Chairperson of the Organisation of African Unity from 24 February 1966 to 5 November 1966.
Before becoming the Head of State, Ankrah served as the first commander of the Ghana Army.
