Herschel Vespasian Johnson (September 18, 1812 – August 16, 1880) was an American politician.
He was the 41st Governor of Georgia from 1853 to 1857 and the vice presidential nominee of the Douglas wing of the Democratic Party in the 1860 U.S.
presidential election.
He also served as one of Georgia's Confederate States senators.
