  • He lost in the first round to Georgia's Theimuraz Khurtsilava.
  • Ramazyan won a bronze medal at the 1997 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Budapest.
  • The next year, Ramazyan won a bronze medal at the 1998 Boxing World Cup.
