- Illien Global was originally founded in 1980 as Illien Adoptions International Inc, a non profit international adoption and child social welfare humanitarian agency, which places orphaned and abandoned children into permanent and foster families, and which was started when Jayme was rescued from the streets of Calcutta, India, and became the organization's first adoptee.
