Dennis Edward Skinner (born 11 February 1932) is a British politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bolsover from 1970 to 2019.
He is a member of the Labour Party. Known for his left-wing views and his acerbic wit, he belonged to the Socialist Campaign Group of Labour MPs.
He was a member of Labour's National Executive Committee, with brief breaks, for thirty years, and was the chairman of the Commitee in 1988/89.
On 16 December 2017 he became the longest continuously-serving Labour MP.
