- A Pushtun philosopher from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan , Takkar is a graduate of the University of Engineering and Technology in Peshawar, Pakistan.
- In recognition of his services to the field of music, the President of Pakistan had bestowed upon him the Pride of Performance Award.Sardar Ali Takkar was also conferred upon with Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan for the recognition of his services in arts on 23 March 2019.
