Clement Leroy "Butch" Otter (born May 3, 1942) is an American businessman and politician who served as the 32nd governor of Idaho from 2007 to 2019.
A member of the Republican Party, he was elected in 2006, and reelected in 2010, and 2014.
Otter served as lieutenant governor from 1987 to 2001 and in U.S.
Congress from the first district from 2001 to 2007. When he left office, Otter was the longest-serving governor in the United States whose time in office had run consecutively, at 12 years.
His election win in 2014 was his tenth consecutive victory.
