  • June 22, 1978, Brovary) – Ukrainian composer and pianist, public figure. He received musical education at Lysenko Special Music school in Kyiv and in National Musical Academy of Ukraine as pianist (under prof.
  • V.Kozlov) and as composer (under prof.
  • I.Karabyts). As a pianist Andriy Bondarenko won prizes in Rachmaninov (Tambov, Russia, 1996), Horovitz (Kyiv, 1997), Lysenko (Kyiv, 1997) international competitions.
  • He collaborates with ensemble “New music in Ukraine” (leader – V.
  • Runchak), played on festivals «KyivMusicFest», «Two Days and Two Nights of New Music». Also Andriy Bondarenko is known as a composer.
  • His compositions won prizes in I&M Kotz composer's competition (Kyiv,1994), International composer's competition in St.
  • Petersburg (2003).
  • Among hos compositions – simfonic poem “2004” devoted to Orange revolution, four children ballets was performed by “Releve” choreographic ensemble with Master Class corporation's assistance in 2009, and a music for DVD «Cours de danse contemporaine» by Irena Tatiboit, a set of arrangements written for «Kchreshchatyk» academic chamber choir. In 2006-2011 Andriy Bondarenko worked in National Academy of Government Managerial Staff of Culture and Arts as teacher of Music informatics.
  • During this time he published a Textbook «Musical Informatics», a first Ukrainian textbook devoted to theory of digital sound and music software.In 2009 Andriy Bondarenko was a co-founder of Wikimedia Ukraine organization, a regional partner of the Wikimedia Foundation.
  • He wrote a lot of articles in Ukrainian Wikipedia, mostly devoted to music and musicians.
  • He is the author of "Anthem of Wikipedia" - a piece for a soloist, vocal and instrumental ensembles.
  • Performed on January, 15th, 2016 on the concert, devoted to 15th anniversary of Wikipedia.
  • It was first published on YouTube.
  • In 2012 he started the project «World classic in Ukrainian» aimed to popularize Ukrainian translations of world classical vocal music.
  • Within this project Andriy Bondarenko organized 9 concerts of Ukrainian-translated vocal music, including a premiere performance of «Dido & Aeneas» opera by H.
  • Percell in Ukrainian translation by Olena O`Lir and The First World classics in Ukrainian Vocal Contest.
