Dmitry Borisovich Zimin (born April 28, 1933, Moscow, USSR) is a Russian radio scientist and entrepreneur, founder and honorary president of VimpelCom (trademark — Beeline), the first Russian company listed on New York Stock Exchange (trading symbol VIP).
Since his retirement in early 2000s he has become known as one of the first Russian philanthropists.
He founded the Dmitry Zimin Dynasty Foundation, the Prosvetitel book prize and The Book Projects of Dmitry Zimin: The Moscow Time Foundation and the Dynasty Library.
