About Dmitry Zimin
- Dmitry Borisovich Zimin (born April 28, 1933, Moscow, USSR) is a Russian radio scientist and entrepreneur, founder and honorary president of VimpelCom (trademark — Beeline), the first Russian company listed on New York Stock Exchange (trading symbol VIP).
- Since his retirement in early 2000s he has become known as one of the first Russian philanthropists.
- He founded the Dmitry Zimin Dynasty Foundation, the Prosvetitel book prize and The Book Projects of Dmitry Zimin: The Moscow Time Foundation and the Dynasty Library.
