John Birger Jarl Carlstedt (12 July 1907 in Helsinki – 3 October 1975 in Helsinki) was a Finnish pioneer of Modern Art.
The son of businessman John Wilhelm Carlstedt and Amanda Josefina Lindström, he studied at the School of the Fine Arts Association of Finland and the Central School of Applied Arts in Helsinki.
His painting style went through various changes, with influences from Impressionism, Expressionism, Futurism and abstract art.
