Alexander Nathan Skolnick (born September 29, 1968) is an American musician who is best known as the lead guitarist in the thrash metal band Testament from 1983 to 1993, and again from 2005.
He has also performed with the Alex Skolnick Trio, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Savatage and Metal Allegiance. According to a Guitar World magazine readers' poll, he is considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time and one of the fastest guitarists in the world.
