- Stefan Maierhofer (born 16 August 1982) is an Austrian international football striker who plays in Switzerland for FC Aarau.Maierhofer failed to make the grade with German giants Bayern Munich, making just two first team appearances.
- After spells with second division teams TuS Koblenz and Greuther Fürth he returned to his homeland with Rapid Vienna.
- He enjoyed the best goalscoring form of his career here, which earned him a move to English Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2009, where he made just ten appearances before returning to Austria.
