Elvana Gjata (pronounced [?l'vana '?ata]; born 3 February 1987), also known mononymously as Elvana, is an Albanian singer, songwriter, actress, model, entrepreneur and recording artist.
She is regarded as the Albanian diva and one of the leading figures in the regional music industry.
Born and raised in Tirana, she performed in diverse singing and dancing competitions as a child.
She rose to significant recognition in the Albanian-speaking world after the release of her first two studio albums Mamës and Afër dhe larg both of which were influenced by R&B and dance-pop music.
Her later released extended play 3 incorporated more elements of contemporary pop-rock and folk music.
She is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades including the Balkan Music Award, Kënga Magjike Award and Top Fest Award.
She also won season three of the dancing competition television series Dancing with the Stars.
In December 2019, she will be participating at the 58th edition of Festivali i Këngës.She has resided in the United States for a short time where she came into close liaison with producers such as Poo Bear and David Guetta.
She has more than 645 million views, as of November 2019, on YouTube being among the most viewed artists in the Albanian music industry.
She is also among the most followed artists on Instagram in Albania, Kosovo and other Albanian-speaking territories.
