Jadad Bechara (born August 9, 1963) is a Canadian-Colombian physician, philosopher, teacher, innovator and entrepreneur whose mission is to invite people - either as individuals or groups - to imagine and to create better ways of living as part of a flourishing planet.
His work focuses on the creation of a pandemic of health and well-being through an approach known as radical 'glocal' innovation.
He is also known as the researcher responsible for the development of the Jadad Scale, the first validated tool to assess the methodological quality of clinical trials. Jadad is the founder of the Centre for Global eHealth Innovation at the University Health Network, and Professor and Director of the Institute for Global Health Innovation and Equity in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health and a Senior Fellow of Massey College, both in the University of Toronto, Canada.
