- He is the current Revenue Secretary of India.
- He was former chief executive officer (CEO) of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the nodal agency of Government of India responsible for implementing Aadhaar.
- He is also holding the additional charge as the current chairman of GSTN, Goods and Services Tax Network, India.
