Andrzej Michal Bargiel (Polish pronunciation: ['and??j 'm?ixaw 'barg??l]; born 18 April 1988 in Letownia) is a Polish ski mountaineer, backcountry skier, mountain runner and climber.
He represents the TKN Tatra Team.
He is the current record holder in taking the least amount of time to achieve the Snow Leopard award.
He is also the current record holder for the Elbrus Race (in 2010, extreme route, 3:23:37).
In September 2014, Bargiel set a record time climbing from base camp to the summit of Manaslu in 14 hours 5 minutes.
He also set a record time for base-peak-base at 21 hours 14 minutes.
In July 2018, he completed his ascent of K2 and was the first ever to ski from the summit.
He lives in Zakopane.
He climbs in the sport style, without the support of bottled oxygen.
In February 2019, Bargiel was named National Geographic Adventurer of the Year.
