- (born September 11, 1989) is an American professional boxer of Mexican descent.
- He is a former unified heavyweight champion, having defeated Anthony Joshua to win the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO titles in June 2019, only to lose them in a rematch with Joshua in December of the same year.
- In doing so, Ruiz became the first boxer of Mexican heritage to become a world heavyweight champion, and second Hispanic world heavyweight champion overall. As of December 2019, Ruiz is ranked as the world's fourth best active heavyweight by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, fifth by BoxRec and sixth by The Ring magazine.
