Anthony Joseph Brindisi (born November 22, 1978) is an American politician serving as the U.S.
Representative for New York's 22nd congressional district since 2019.
A member of the Democratic Party, his district extends from the east end of Lake Ontario through Central New York to the Pennsylvania border, including Utica, Rome and Binghamton.Brindisi previously served as the New York State Assemblyman for the Utica-based 119th district from 2011 to 2018.
Prior to his election to the State Assembly, Brindisi served on the Utica School Board and practiced as an attorney.
He defeated Republican incumbent Claudia Tenney in the 2018 election.
