About Kim Sung-min (judoka)

  • Kim Sung-Min (born 29 June 1987) is a South Korean judoka.
  • He graduated from Yong In University.
  • At the 2008 Asian Judo Championships, his first international adult competition, he won a gold medal.
  • He went on to win a bronze medal in the 2011 World Judo Championships. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he reached the semi-finals where he lost to eventual champion Teddy Riner.
  • He then lost his bronze medal match to Rafael Silva. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, he was knocked out in the second round to Roy Meyer.
